Tempered Glass

Eastern Glass Resources, Inc. fully tempered glass offers higher mechanical and thermal strength than annealed or heat strengthened glass.
Tempered glass normally has a breakage pattern of small pieces and is less likely to cause severe injuries than annealed or heat strengthened glass.

  • Tempered glass has approximately four times the mechanical & thermal strength of annealed glass of equal thickness.
  • Tempered glass can not be cut or drilled after tempering. Any field fabrication, including edge grinding, sand blasting or acid etching can cause premature failure.
